In response to popular demand, Damanhur is creating a new one-month Primi Passi (First Steps) program for English-speakers who desire a deeper involvement with the community. The first Primi Passi programs will begin in July and August 2002, and will be limited to ten participants per month.

The intention of Primi Passi is to give people a practical experience of what living here really involves, so that they will have the tools to make an informed choice about all of the possible resident citizenship options.

At the end of the month-long program, people who wish to become full members of the Federation of Damanhur will have the option to enter the new 100 Citizen's Project specifically designed for English-speakers. Others may be interested in the Val di Ky project linked to the development of Valchiusella as the first fractal of the New World, or in a non-resident citizenship, or simply want to be part of the Spiritual People and link with Damanhur to create their own community, somewhere else in the world.

Contents of Primi Passi

Primi Passi participants will live an intensive full-immersion experience of Damanhur organized around the three Bodies of Damanhur: the Social Body, the School of Meditation and the Game of Life. They will live together in a house provided by the community. This will give them a first-hand practical experience of how Damanhurian Nucleos are organized.

The theoretical and practical experiences related to the exploration of the Social Body will include: History of Damanhur; introductions to Damanhur's ideas and practice of: Agriculture, Art, Economics, Education, Politics, Pranatherapy, Self-sufficiency and Alternative Health Care; visits to Damanhur's many companies and business cooperatives; and introduction and practical experience of contact with Selfic intelligences. The program will also include one full day in each of Damanhur's Communities.

The School of Meditation elements will include: a taste of Damanhur's Meditation course, introduction to Esoteric Physics, Damanhurian Rituals, and the use of Circuits; a Meditation in the Temple; introductory lectures on Atlantis; elements of Sacred Dance and Sacred Language; twice-weekly question and answer evenings with Falco; and group readings of Damanhur's classic texts. Participants will carry out a few hours of devotional work with Citizens on communal projects (Terrazzatura). Participants will also have a group Q&A session each evening (Battito) with Damanhurian Mentors.

The Game of Life elements may include: a Viaggio in the Sacred Wood; training in Damanhur's Civil Protection & Red Cross volunteer programs (Leva);   experiences with energy spirals. Unexpected events may also occur to provide participants with a sense of Damanhur's emphasis on spontaneity and the ability to adapt to novel situations.
