Damanhur Crea is a multi-functional space, a ‘living laboratory’ where ideas and dreams are translated into artistic objects, cultural events, training and eco-sustainable projects.
Thanks to the advantages of the circulation of the Credit – which has supported the creation of many businesses and services – in 2003, the Federation bought a former Olivetti factory at Vidracco, abandoned for 20 years. In 2004, after a demanding job of renovation, the complex re-opened as Damanhur Crea: Art, Culture and Health Centre.
Above all, it is a meeting place for people and ideas, where art and experimentation give birth to life and products and services of quality.
The Damanhurian sculpture, picture, ceramic, mosaic and glass art workshops are known throughout the whole world for the works that have been realised for the Temples of Humankind. The Damanhurian artists have 30 years of experience and research in all styles and ancient and modern techniques, which have allowed them to create an original and unique style. The laboratories offer a vast range of artistic products, from art objects for decorating the house, to carrying out the complete interior design of environments – houses, ships, restaurants and public places, flagship offices – to the execution of monumental works for public and private institutions. The restoration workshop, lastly, offers a service to artistically restore precious objects, fabrics and furniture, works of art and architecture, for private individuals, institutions, churches and museums.
‘Olivetti’ Conference Centre Feather in the cap of Damanhur Crea, the ‘Adriano Olivetti’ Conference Centre offers a welcoming space with plenty of light and plenty of possibilities, suited to hosting events and conferences of every kind. The Conference Hall, which seats 500, has video-cameras and a giant screen to project the event as it happens, equipment for simultaneous translation in several languages and live transmission over the Internet. It is the most modern meeting and conference facility in Valchiusella. A versatile stage, that can be dismantled, transforms it into a modern theatre, suitable for theatrical performances, music and dance. The staff at the Conference Centre can supply interpreters, multi-lingual hostesses and audio-video technicians for every kind of event. The company, Orolight, lastly, can produce laser light shows and multimedia able to complete every event with a specially arranged festival of colours and sounds. Next to the Conference Hall, there is the permanent exhibition of Oberto Airaudi’s Selfic Paintings, open to the public every day, offering sensory and aesthetic experiences of a rare intensity.
