Esperide Ananas and Crotalo Sesamo traveled to India for a 12-day visit that included participation in the second Global Congress of Spiritual Scientists, held at the School of Ancient Wisdom near Bangalore, India in Pyramid Valley. The four-day event was comprised of workshops, seminars and lectures, as well as meditation sessions and exhibitions. Esperide and Crotalo presented Music of the Plants as a demonstration of plant consciousness.

India_3_webThe theme of the Congress was, “Earth Evolution through Spiritual Revolution,” to inspire spiritual transformation and share visions of a better world. The guest of honor was Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. The night after his keynote speech, Esperide and Crotalo went to visit his ashram and invited him to come to Damanhur. They felt a strong connection with Shankar and the Art of Living organization that he has founded, which shares similar goals as Damanhur. The Art of Living is engaged in various initiatives to promote a philosophy of inner and outer peace.

India5_webOther speakers at the Congress included Brahmarshi Patriji from India presenting on the “Science of Meditation,” Rasha from the United States presenting on “Oneness: Discovering the Divinity Within,” and Jasmuheen from Australia presenting on “Enhancing Human Evolution and the Global Benefits of Personal Enlightenment.”

India2_webBrahmarshi Patriji founded the Pyramid Spiritual Societies Movement in 1992, with hundreds of centers in India. The society brings meditation from a scientific basis and builds pyramid structures for people in urban and rural areas alike. Anapanasati meditation is taught free in all Pyramid Centers. The society also promotes vegetarianism as a response to climate change and pollution.

The Damanhur Ambassadors also went with friends Kapila and Susheel to visit their organic retreat center a two-hour drive from Bangalore. At the center, Esperide and Crotalo gave a one-day presentation on Damanhur, with Music of the Plants and sessions of spiritual healing. Programs for February and October of next year are already scheduled for Damanhur to return and offer two week-long retreats.
