The Italian Red Cross volunteers (Croce Rossa Italiana)
The Federation of Damanhur is also involved in voluntary work for the Italian Red Cross.
The volunteer group at the first aid centre in Vidracco is made up of around a hundred providers, all citizens of the Federation. The group, which sees in the volunteer work of the Red Cross a manifest way of providing care and support for the local population, provides cover every night in a spirit of solidarity and service.
The Damanhurian volunteers intend to become a stable reference centre for social support services, for emergency services and for first aid in the field of Civil Defence and to provide round-the-clock cover. In addition, the group can count on the collaboration of a dozen volunteers who have obtained their life-saving qualification for water rescue.
