Founded in the early 1970s, the Federation of Damanhur in Italy is now an internationally recognised centre for artistic, ecological, spiritual and social research. Damanhur is an eco-society, a federation of communities and eco-villages composed of 20 small communities. A special characteristic is its connection with the neighbouring cities and villages. (…)
Damanhur has a well organised system of economy and commerce, technological ability in the use of renewable energies; it constructs ecologically built dwellings and dedicates great attention to education.
