About the event

In the Damanhurian Sacred Language the word "Get" means "Divinity, Divine Strength"; Damanhur Get represents the Divine Force, the spiritual essence that the People of Damanhur created and share. During the ceremony, collective achievements, talents, knowledge, memories and other qualities are consolidated, offered and sent to a common container to be stored and used in later moments. Each member of the People can contact this container and access any of this accumulated knowledge to improve their own.

The rite takes place in two different moments, with a weekly and a monthly celebration, during which it is possible to offer the conquests of the People of the past month and propitiate the objectives of the following month. This monthly ceremony is dedicated to the common achievements of the People.

The monthly Rite of Damanhur Get is celebrated around a fire in the Temples of Humanity, in the Hall of the Earth or in the Open Temple in Damjl, depending on the weather; the weekly ritual takes place at the Temples of Humanity in the Hall of Mirrors. Participants have the opportunity to "read" the fire and experience contact with it. The monthly Rite takes place either in the Temples of Humanity or in the Open Temple.

To participate in the ceremony, in addition to belonging to the People, you must have made a visit to Damjl and the Temples of Humanity and report your participation and ask for further information at welcome@damanhur.org

It should be known that the rite is connected to the lunar cycle and that the date can change. When the ritual takes place in the Temples of Humanity, wear comfortable clothing, slippers or light shoes and a shawl as the Temple can be damp. If this visit is not in your language and you have a group of four or more, you can ask for a translation in English, Italian, Spanish, French, Norwegian, German, Japanese or Croatian in advance. Contact the Welcome Office for more information.
